His Majesty’s Royal Patronage
The University is delighted that His Majesty King Charles III will continue as Royal Patron.
Following the King’s Accession in September 2022, a major review of Royal Patronages and charity Presidencies has been undertaken.
His Majesty’s Royal Patronage is a great honour and privilege and is an opportunity to ensure that the University’s achievements and contributions to society are recognised and promoted.
Over the years, King Charles has been a keen supporter of the University.
His Majesty’s Royal Patronage of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø commenced in November 2011 as the then His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. He has served as Chancellor of the University of Wales since July 1977, a role which he assumed from his father the Duke of Edinburgh.
