Faith & Spirituality
Faith & Spirituality at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø
The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø welcomes equally those professing a religious faith and those of no faith.
It seeks to be an inclusive community where the needs of all are recognised, and support is available. Part of this commitment involves ensuring that all staff and students are provided with opportunities to explore and celebrate faith, sometimes through local faith communities beyond the university. Provision differs from campus to campus due to both historical foundation and current context.
Faith and Spirituality provision is not just for those who regard themselves as religious. It may include occasions to meet a diverse range of interesting people through social events or to listen to fascinating, engaging speakers, as well as opportunities to become more committed to issues of peace, justice, and sustainability or to get involved in charities and volunteering.
In short, the Faith and Spirituality provision seeks to enhance the university experience for all, enabling each member of the university to develop a mature, informed outlook on life and to offer themselves in service to others. The goal is to help individuals to be enriched and energised to reach their full potential – academically, socially, and spiritually.
